Are you ready for a getaway to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina! If you haven’t been to Hilton Head Island in the Spring; you are missing out for sure! There is so much to see and do!

One of the most beautiful times of the year to visit is in the Spring - also known as Leisure Season, on the Island. The Lowcountry flowers and trees are beginning to bloom and the Island is painted with the blossoming pink and white azaleas. The surrounding property in Coligny Plaza, at The Pelican's Pouch, is already in full bloom.

March through May offers near perfect weather with average daytime temperatures around 74 degrees and a nightly low temperature of around 60 degrees. The warm weather is the perfect setting for teeing up at one of the Island’s word class golf courses, a tennis match at one of our racquet clubs, or exploring beautiful and historic SC Coast.

True to the island’s laid-back nature, shopping on Hilton Head Island is generally dominated by quaint stores, locally owned specialty boutiques and small shopping plazas. There also are high-end retailers and exclusive shops if you want a luxury shopping experience. At Coligny Plaza, visitors can walk to excellent cafes and restaurants, shop in cute boutiques, or stop in at the local ice cream shop

Spring time also means a variety of exciting events and activities including the Hilton Head Island Wine and Food Festival, St. Patrick's Day Parade, Wing Fest, HarbourFest, Easter Eggstravaganza, and more!

Spring is a very exciting time for Hilton Head, as we host the Annual RBC Heritage Golf Tournament. Each April thousands of people make their way to Hilton Head Island, to be a part of South Carolina’s only PGA event. Making its home at Harbour Town Golf Links in The Sea Pines Resort for 50 years, The Heritage is recognized as one of the most distinguished and premier golf tournaments in the country. The Hilton Head area also hosts the U.S.Open Qualifier Golf Tournament each May.

A tradition for many returning visitors is a stop to The Pelican's Pouch. If you're looking for unique island treasures then look no further. You'll find a wonderful collection of home decorations, gifts, and apparel - all with a touch of our coastal lifestyle. Experience timeless Lowcountry style and rustic flair bringing a vintage touch your home.  Brands change year to year as the owners always want to offer new and unique, and local products.
